Take it By Force

I once read a true story of an evangelist who loved to hunt and had two topnotch bird dogs, setters. One morning, a bulldog came snorting down the alley and crawled under the fence into his back yard. At first he was going to put his setters in the basement to save the bulldog from being torn up; but he decided he wouldjust let it learn a lesson. Just as he thought his setters beat the bulldog until it had enough and shuffled out under the fence.

Much to the evangelist surprise, around the same time the next day, the same ornery bulldog came up under the fence again. Once again the 2 bird dogs beat the stuffing out of the little bowlegged animal and probably would have chewed him up if he had not retreated. Back under the fence he went and you could hear him whining and licking his wounds. But would you believe? the very next day, he was back! He crawled under the fence, was beat until he could take all he could take and then found his way home to lick his wounds.

The evangelist ended up having to leave for a couple of weeks, but as soon as he returned he asked his wife what had happened. She informed him that every day at the same time that little bulldog came back in the backyard and fought with the two setters. He never missed a day! And do you know? It came to the point that when the setters simply hear that bulldog snorting down the alley and spot him squeezing under the fence, they immediately start whining and run down into the basement. That little, old bulldog struts around the backyard now just like he owns it.

That is persistance and determination. That is how we TAKE territory.

Do you see now what this means?
Do not take failure as a loss.
Do not take getting beat up as the end.
Keep on keeping on.
The only way to lose, is if you give up.
We were designed to be more than conquerors.
It is truly Finished!
