"You only become real when ...  your fur has been rubbed off" Margery Williams, Velveteen Rabbit. When True love takes you off the shelf. . You will find yourself being vulnerable and exposed to real life. Even though the shelf life is safe and will keep you in pristine condition (out of harm's way),  I would rather be used and my "fur rubbed off." It is in the wearing that I take on a conflict or uncomfortable situation for a Greater Good. It is in laying myself open to being used outside of my comfort zone, that I trade my fur for a lot of love. So... I may not look so pretty as I become more and more real. .. it is the eye of My Beholder that truly determines my value. . Not my outward image among my peers.  ~ HB Cher
