I put my 2 week notice in my job today. In a time when everyone is afraid of losing their jobs, Jesus says to voluntarily release mine. He wants me on His payroll & benefits. We are going for the leap together ! My mission? To leave the 99 and go after the 1. I am going after the prodigals and wounded eagles. It's time and He is having His way. Today I am struck by the profound truth and disappointment, that I have absolutely NOTHING to offer God. I have no wonderful talent. My singing is mediocre, I can't play guitar, my trumpet playing needs ALOT of help. I have a bit of a brain, but not thoroughly convinced that that is too much of an asset and I certainly don't consider it a talent. My painting is childlike. My poetry is nice. This Saturday during my road trip. God's finger was so heavy in the vehicle that I stayed in the crunchies and laughter and swooped for the whole 5 hour drive. But it was the most magnificent glory ride of my life. The Lord gave me a glimpse of what I will look like in a few years. He showed me a husband (YAY!! I am going to get married) and he showed me a woman that was so FULL of joy under a 2 husband covering (Jesus & Jesus through a man) that I made Heidi Baker look stoic. I was a permanently drunken woman. I LOVE IT!! Totally made me laugh. We will be ministering together, OUT OF THE BOX and OFF THE HOOK! We will be touching hearts with the finger of God. A mid wife has come for a visit to birth in me something new I can hardly stand the pain as she tells me what I should do. Now I find I must trust when in the past all have betrayed now I find I must trust that this baby she will not slay. I find myself wanting to protect All that I have known to be dear I find myself not wanting to listen to the sifting of all the fear. When Caleb and I were in Louisiana; he was running in and out of the water in all his clothes; having a great time. Then asked me to come along. No bother that I had no change of clothes, no bother that I was wearing a white shirt, no bother that I was a grown woman and would look foolish. Of course, at my son's request.. I put all that aside and stepped in to the middle of the fountain. As the water started to rise and get WILD he asked me to pick him up and swing him. So I said "come here" (in this pic).. then I grabbed his arms and spun his heals off of the ground. Round and round we went with the water drenching us both. It was a magical moment. This morning, my roommate and her son were headed out the door in a bolt to catch the bus. My son was on his way to follow, then stopped and called out, "MOMMY, MOMMY! Come here!" I came quickly and beamed inside because he would not leave without my kiss. He hid inside the door for my secret kiss.. then he said. "Pray for me". My smile came from the inside to the outside. I laid my hand on his head and blessed his day and spoke protection over his mind, soul, and body as I do every day. Every day before today, I have had to pull HIM in the house for our morning prayer & kiss before he raced out the door. Today was significant; today he called out to me & would not leave the home without it. I am richly blessed. Be aware of the counterfeit. It bears the form of what is true. If not for that, it would not be counterfeit. Please know, that there is TRUTH, GOD's TRUTH. It is definite solid and exists (this is the branch - the Word - Jesus). In His truth there is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, & Self Control (these are the leaves / fruit) When the counterfeit comes, it sounds like the words of Jesus. It LOOKS like the wisdom of God. It comes and speaks of love, of peace, of humanity and being one with God and the universe. It speaks of a higher place in spiritual development for being as god.
