JUMP DUMBO JUMP!

During my quiet time this morning, I asked Jesus about this GREAT revival I am seeing, hearing and even went to experience. What is going on? When I was there, I did not sense His presence in a way that I expected. All of it felt so different, I began to wonder if I was looking at a King with out any clothes. But the miracles were evident and so many of the people appeared genuine (while MANY did not). What is going on? Then I got an image of Dumbo the flying elephant. The mouse knew that Dumbo could fly (when he was drunk); but, had a hard time convincing Dumbo it could be done. So the mouse got the "magic" feather. I looked at the analogy as it pertains to the revival in Lakeland, Florida. We have EVERYTHING we need for the miraculous to happen in our day to day lives. But it is hard to convince us of it. Lakeland increases our faith. (If we can just get our sick loved ones there) If we can just "get some" of the glory- THEN- we can walk in the supernatural (ie fl...

Kicking Bad Habits

Quiting men has been alot like quiting cigarettes, when I think about it. I get strong cravings when I'm bored or stressed. Occasionally, my imagination takes me back to the days when I would partake in the habit and can ALMOST taste one again in my imagination.. then **POOF** it's gone. Back to the unmet craving, endured by the sheer strength of will power (who am I kidding, more like God's Grace) Occasionally, I stand around "smokers" (women in relationships) only to inhale the old familiar scent of what I used to lean on for support and to help me relax. I breath in deeply the side smoke and "pretend" like I am still a smoker. Then I cough and sigh.. and rewind through my head all the reasons why I am smoke-free (man-free). First, it made my teeth yellow (tainted my heart by actively pulling me away from Jesus). Second , they would make me tired all the time (drained the life out of me). Third , they gave me bad breath (the smell of fear stayed on m...

Balanced Equation

The universe in balance, is not an Eastern philosophy of mystic proportion; but a basic feature to the mathematical alignment of creation. When the word of God says what you sow, you will reap. It is the root of what others call Karma. When you think in terms of the Universe's DEMAND for balance, it opens the door to understanding salvation, healing, and freedom. Allow me to explain: Jesus walked this earth completely WITHOUT sin. Pure. Fulfilling every dot and "crossing every t" of the law. To a GREAT proportion did he sow in to life and the universe; bringing forth a tremendous account of balance in His favor. But WHAT did he reap??? He beaten, mocked, wounded and put to death in the most brutal form imaginable. WHOA! Can you see it? The UNIVERSE IS OFF BALANCE~~~ In order for correction to incur. The application of the sin of the world (past, present, and FUTURE) MUST transpire (to withdraw from the account). ALL of nature, life, destiny and molecules seen and unseen p...

The Offensiveness of Jesus

Jesus is by FAR the coolest man alive. When surrounded by a group of "the IN CROWD" (Pharisees). A woman (um.. with a "reputation") comes in and starts crying at His feet and rubbing His feet with her hair. (um.. awkward). And instead of pushing her off.. He lets her do it! Instead of worrying about what the "cool" people thought. He made it obvious that OPINIONS mean NOTHING to Him. Instead.. He horrifies them by saying, I forgive you Their response?? Who does HE think he is???? He was just about THE most offensive man on the planet at that time I believe HE still is ;) sigh.. He's my hero..LOL.. He never gave favor to the ones the world admired.. but He looked to the "nobodies" and poured out His love... sigh.. What a man, what an amazing King, What a mighty God we serve! This is what Jesus has to say about people pleasing.... (GW)Luk 7:31 "How can I describe the people who are living now? What are they like? Luk 7:32 They are like...

I'm Such a Loser

As I sit here with spanish channel running in the background (my son likes the way it sounds) and a house is sore need of attention, my mint cappuccino coffee at midday and Roman Noodle soup on the stove (also, my sons favorite); I am struck with the reality of lose. I make friends and lose them (where did they go?). I spent too much time trying to find you. After high school I walked away from such a huge group of wonderful girls and now am wondering how you are? Maryann Franey, I miss your mom's pancakes and our midnight toilet paper adventures and monkey walking down the roads in the moonlight. Vicky Christopher, I miss your pretty blond hair and the way you were always one step ahead of me in every social way. You and Becky Perry always had me wondering how close was too close between girls and why I was never comfortable with the "too close" moments you guys seem to have no issue with. Was I over sensitive? I envied your free spirit. Kari Williams are you and Dax st...
