What it truly means to Wait on the Lord

Wait on the Lord is not to sit and pray and hope.

If a waiter comes to a table and takes your order. Does he go in to his prayer closet and sit and pray and hope, you get what you ordered?

To WAIT.. is ACTION.. it's a knowing anticipation.
Just as a waiter:
It's doing your part (enter the order in to the system), meet the needs of the table (serve), while you give time for the meal to be prepared (angelic activity) & KNOWING the order will come (no doubt).

The world says, "when in doubt, don't do"
The Word says, when in doubt, test it out. 1 Thessalonians 5:21- But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that] hold fast. *** I think believers have allowed doubt to freeze frame (stall) our spiritual walk, Don't be afraid.. TEST & PROVE! (action)***

The Parable of the Snake

Once upon a time there was a serpent who was badly injured in a fight with another animal. It managed to slither away to safety but would have surely died if a benevolent man had not seen it suffering by the side of the road.
