Isn't it interesting the way children compete based who has the strongest daddy or the richest mommy, not their own strength and wealth. They understand success based on source, not self. To be as children....
Day before yesterday, my son surprised me with an argument he was having with 3 other boys (brothers) in Walmart. As we were checking out, I only caught the end of their conversation as I watched my son bow up and say, "my mommy has more money than BOTH of your parents!" I was SHOCKED! I immediately pulled my son aside and explained that making people feel small or less than was not the way to handle conflict (yes I do speak to my 5 year old like that). My son said "ok", but he still had that determined look in his eyes. Somehow, somewhere in his world; it had been settled. It made me think of the verse in the bible that speaks of how our Father owns the cattle of a 1000 hills (Psalms 50:10). I too gain a great deal of confidence because my Daddy is richer than "yours". [yours = any negative financial thought that blocks my perspective]

I never realized it until now. But I fight with my tongue, not to confess lack. My son thinks I am the wealthiest woman on the planet. All of my children believe that there is nothing I can not afford (even if I don't have the money). They do not see finances as road blocks. Now I see this as amazing. I am a single mom, I live in a mobile home, by all outward appearances I am REALLY small. However, at the exact same time, I LACK nothing. If me or my children need or desire anything, it will be provided. My home is full of peace. We are all healthy. My children know and see the goodness of serving God.
It is so important what we speak. It is vital what we say. Stop your mouth from pronouncing lack over your life. Stop your mouth from saying something can't be done because you can't afford it. Stop your mouth from saying that you have nothing and never will. Put the reigns over your tongue and ONLY speak LIFE. Remember YOUR Daddy owns the cattle of a thousand hills. Point to THE Source, by doing so, you will build a legacy of rich hearts & souls. When your children understand wealth as something BEYOND material possessions, you will find wisdom's treasures.
Honor the Source, not the product;
Worship The Creator, not the creation:
Daniel 5:23
And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.
