Visionation: "I'll meet you here"

Open Wide Your Ancient Door, by H.B. Cher
Vision Received 7/12/09
La Fayette, La
City of Light Church
Speaker: Chris Harvey

During a time of corporate soaking, as I lay on the floor; I heard in my heart to lift my hands to the Lord. When I raised my hands, I felt a warm liquid pour out on to my hands, down my arms, shoulders, chest and waist. Past my waist it formed a lace like pattern skirt. I was told that the liquid was wax. When I asked about it, I heard it was a "wax portal". I sensed it was for protection. Without really realizing it, my hands were drawn together and when my fingertips touched I formed a circle in front of me. I pulled the circle down, in to my chest and was taken to a place with a rope ladder going upward. My dress is now true blue color. I climbed the ladder and stepped out on to many many doors, placed together top to bottom to make a path. The interesting thing about the wooden doors was each had a square window at the top to peer down and see the earth below. The doors lead to the sky, which turned in to a deep starry night. Then the door path branched when it reached the moon. One way circled the moon and lead back to the earth. The other lead away from the moon (to the right). I walked to the right, and after a short while reached a door where I knew I was to stop. I opened the square window and slipped down through and thought for a moment that I was dangling in the sky. (for now I am in the clear blue sky in the earth's atmosphere) I realized that there were steps beneath me.. but they were clear; so I stepped on them and started to descend down to earth again. But this time in a different part of the earth. The steps landed on a cold batch of ice. A frozen lake of some sort.

I was reminded of my diamond socks, I received in a previous vision and placed them on my feet. The socks kept my feet warm.. and the diamonds kept them from slipping. I looked for Jesus. There is rarely a vision where He doesn't meet me. I asked for Him, looked for Him; but continued to walk on, expecting Him to show up any moment.

I ice path lead me to a white lattice heart shaped archway, filled with flowered vines. I heard "betrothed" as I walked through the archway, I noticed two white benches on both sides of the path. I sat on the bench on the right and heard a voice saying. "I'll meet you here." - I thought, ok, I'll wait for you.

Then I gradually became aware of the fact that I was on the floor. Apparently the only one left as the rest of the church was socializing, cleaning up, and sweetly stepping around me. How gracious is the body of Christ. Understanding, accepting, and FULL of love. I sat up and hugged many necks. Then drove from 11pm to 4:30am home to Texas, without even a hint of fatigue. My God, is an awesome God!

[Another interesting memory. As I was coming back to myself on the floor. I heard a whisper saying, "Steam, steam, steam" Fire and water make steam. The cloud is made of steam. - I am filing these words away for a later date]

The Parable of the Snake

Once upon a time there was a serpent who was badly injured in a fight with another animal. It managed to slither away to safety but would have surely died if a benevolent man had not seen it suffering by the side of the road. The goodly man carefully wrapped the snake up and took it to his house, where he bestowed the kindest and gentlest care on the snake until it was healed and could return to the wild. Just as the man was releasing the serpent back into the grass, the ungrateful snake turned and bit him on the hand. "What did you do that for?" cried the man, who knew that the bite of this particular snake was usually fatal. "Didn't I take care of you when no one else would?" The snake shrugged (no small feat for a snake!) and replied to the benevolent--and now doomed-- man, "What did you expect? You knew I was a snake when you picked me up." We certainly know without any question that they are snakes. Time will tell if the moral of the tale is appli...

Tough Mind and Tender Heart by Martin Luther King

SERMON: A Tough Mind And A Tender Heart, by Martin Luther King, Jr. Be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. (Matthew 10:16) A French philosopher said, “No man is strong unless he bears within his character antitheses strongly marked.” The strong man holds in a living blend strongly marked opposites. Not ordinarily do men achieve this balance of opposites. The idealists are not usually realistic, and the realists are not usually idealistic. The militant are not generally known to be passive, nor the passive to be militant. Seldom are the humble self-assertive, or the self-assertive humble. But life at its best is a creative synthesis of opposites in fruitful harmony. The philosopher Hegel said that truth is found neither in the thesis nor the antithesis, but in an emergent synthesis that reconciles the two. Jesus recognized the need for blending opposites. He knew that his disciples would face a difficult and hostile world, where they would confront the recalcitrance of...

AS I SEEK

By Cherstin Jagger Mendez I seek within the ebb and flow, In every attempt for my heart to grow. I lean into the winds to see what they say. Hoping it’s secrets, it will give away. How do you live a life to the fullest? How do you push yourself beyond….? The lead weights on my feet telling me I can’t go, Due to my age or life, without much to show. For the potential within me fights every day to get out! For the voice in my heart says I can not do without … Without the land beneath my feet, Without the sound of the trees in the wind. Without the buds that bloom and tell me there’s hope, Without the love that flows from beyond my scope. Without the connection that reminds me that I’m alive, Without your heartbeat here by my side I seek again for what I cannot see. I seek again for what’s found inside of me. I seek again for the strength to persevere, As I walk among those that this world does fear …. DEDICATED TO TDCJ CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS
