I don't want to forget about this year's Texas Ablaze. It truly has been amazing.
Night 1:
Worship was beautiful and I noticed that Kevin Prosch's form of music is changing from when I heard him last. He held back so much. He intentionally prevented any extreme directions toward emotionalism. He carefully guarded the direction of the music and if he sensed any slipping, he would back away. I have never experienced a worship leader using so much restraint.. without grieving or snuffing out the move of the spirit. I found it remarkable and refreshing. It was a controlled worship, but very intense at the same time, masterful. "the word does say that He will not; share His glory with another god; ... but we are not another... we are His beloved"~ the key lyric for the night~
The Sermon 3 speakers came up to speak: Keith Miller(introduction), Patricia King (on financial breakthrough), & Bobby Connor (on God melting men's heart through the prophetic)
Post Service Prayer We walked through a prayer tunnel. Interesting. We all stood in a line while the speakers of the meeting formed a tunnel by standing facing one another and as people passed in front of them they anointed and prayed over us. Everyone received prayer.. and the impact really caught me by surprise. As I approached my turn in line; I realized I had my hands in my pockets and my attitude seemed more like a "ok, let's see what you've got GOD". Before entering, I quickly took my hands out of my pockets and checked my attitude. I asked God to give me anything and everything I am meant to receive and nothing more. I carefully looked in to the eyes of the first minister (Bobby Connor) and watched him for sincerity as he placed anointing oil on my forehead. Then I looked to my left and to see Keith Miller... and then I came to the end of myself. I felt the power of God knock me in the stomach, I said "HO!" and was surprised by the strength of it.. I could no longer hold myself up. I heard people saying, "grab her and pull her through"... then out of the tunnel I went.. I stumbled over to the side.. with a continual ebb and flow of HO! and a feeble attempt to walk and another HO!.. It felt like I was saying HO! and releasing something that was building up.. so, I began to dance to release it.. That helped considerably. When I was done with the dance.. I opened my eyes and for the first time since coming out of the tunnel got to see where I was. The room was FILLED with smoke. People were walking around in the fog.. The smoke was most intense at the tunnel where more and more people were being carried out and layed on to the floor. It was the first time I have ever seen what others have described as "the Glory Cloud". I was taken aback. It was beautiful.
I tried to head back to my seat with Ally's help; but just ended up sitting on the floor again, soaking in His presence. I decided to sit beside the tunnel and just watch people go through; and worship God for what He was doing in their lives; for touching the deepest places in their hearts and pouring in His love. It was and is a beautiful thing to behold. I sat on the floor feeling totally in LOVE with Jesus and the Goodness of my Father.
