Addressing the CLAIMS of Christianity. For many, "CHRISTIAN" means a decent person. But there is so much more to it than that. There is an actual obligation toward LIVING in right standards to God's principles. Even if everybody under the sun seems to be doing their own thing and not caring, we (as believers possessing the Spirit of God within) are completely without excuse.
God, through His Spirit, has given us the Power to say no to any and all temptations that tries to suck us in. If we ignore that Power and continue living careless lives then we have made His salvation nothing more than lip service. The danger of living like a hypocrite, even if the whole world accepts you (in and out of the church) is that YOU will never know the REAL Kingdom of God.
You will never know the authority given to you by God to bring ALL of heaven to earth. I don't know about you. But there is no guilty pleasure, habit, or impulse .. worth losing the authority of Sonship over. None...
That being said, it's time to tell the pretenders to stop pretending, walk with authenticity and have mercy on those without the knowledge of the Glory God. It's not fair that we should hold them to our standards or ourselves to theirs. Part of waking up to God living on the inside of you is living like it - set apart - and unashamed.
"I wrote to you in a letter not to associate with sexually immoral people.
I did not mean the immoral people of this world or the greedy and swindlers or idolaters; otherwise you would have to leave the world.
But actually, I wrote you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister and is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or verbally abusive, a drunkard or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.
For what business is it of mine to judge outsiders? Don’t you judge those who are inside?
