So often I find, the most difficult obstacles to overcome are the ones that are self imposed. The ones that tell you that you are less than who you truly are; or, that you are not capable of going past a certain point. This is because of the perception of others who have voiced their opinions in your life for so long, that you begin to believe them over your own true potential.
I can not even begin to overemphasis the importance of who you allow to be in your inner circle of influence; however, I do understand that often the "who" is not a matter of choice. Many times, our harshest critics are with in our own families. There is a verse in the bible that says, "Only in his hometown, among his relatives and in his own house is a prophet without honor." (Mark 6:4).
The verse sums up the Crisis of Familiarity. Always stay aware that you are more than the sum of other people's opinions, especially when you become a believer and child of God. Our potential as believers is exponential! Do not put your head down for one moment. Hold captive each and every thought that tells you that you are "less than" what you need to be in order to accomplish the goals set before you. For each of us there has been accomplishments set aside and designed for us to pursue and to overcome. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." (Eph 2:10)
There are many wonderful adventures set aside for us to explore and enjoy, here and now. We, as God's children, are called to be living in our inheritance (the Kingdom of God). It means, this world's limitations, do not apply to us.
Each of us is beautiful, each of us is unique, each one of us is perfectly designed. I challenge you today, to dream BIG and to go for it. Life is a precious gift and life with Jesus is actually full throttle - cliff jumping - accelerating and ABUNDANT!
Love,
HB CHER
