Be careful that you don't fall in love with an illusion.

The prophetic gift is a wonderful thing, but I am seeing that there are certain profound weaknesses attached to the gift. Often I can see a person for who they will or CAN become and have a MAJOR blind-spot for who they are right at this moment. Free will has a way of interrupting potential. I can not begin to tell you the times and troubles that have aroused by my misjudging the NOW and unnecessarily exposing myself to grief in pain.

Help me to judge aright.. the now from the then.

Keep me in Your arms, as You show me how to talk.
Teach me surety and freedom, solidify my walk.

The Parable of the Snake

Once upon a time there was a serpent who was badly injured in a fight with another animal. It managed to slither away to safety but would have surely died if a benevolent man had not seen it suffering by the side of the road. The goodly man carefully wrapped the snake up and took it to his house, where he bestowed the kindest and gentlest care on the snake until it was healed and could return to the wild. Just as the man was releasing the serpent back into the grass, the ungrateful snake turned and bit him on the hand.
